Why We Do
What We Do

Founded in 1994, we began as a home remodeling company and expanded to include ADUs in 2018. Since that time, we've created a catalog of ADU designs and options to suit every need through a process that centers the our client's experience. 

As a full-service design-build firm, our goal is to streamline the building process and offer the type of high-quality custom experience that we would want for ourselves. We do this by having an in-house designer, an estimation team, support staff, a project manager, a project coordinator, and an online management portal for top-notch communication and transparency. 

Having completed thousands of projects we have realized the importance of starting a project off right and the initial design stage sets the project up for success. This important step of the design-build process allows for optimal communication between the client and our team. Honest and ongoing communication is very important to us and we're sure it's important to you as well. We know you're excited to start your project and we're excited to learn about it!

MEET OUR TEAM

MATT

Matt Brown is the owner of Avatar Green Builders, the parent company to ADUs By Avatar. A premier construction company known for its commitment to quality and client satisfaction. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Matt has overseen numerous successful residential projects.

His expertise in project management, value engineering, and innovative building techniques has earned him a reputation for excellence. With an engineering degree, and a keen eye to detail, he is the perfect person to head our team.

 

 

Kevin

Kevin Osso is our Project Manager. He is the friendly face you'll see on your job site throughout your project. He leads each project from inception to completion.

He ensures that each workday is efficiently utilized and that the work being done is up to our high-quality standards. He works directly with our subcontractors, tradespeople, and clients to achieve project goals while managing any challenges that may arise on the job site.

Andi

Andi Osso is our Project Coordinator and our Social Media Marketer and Director who will help guide the team through the entire project’s lifecycle.

She monitors the process of each project, organizes tasks, and schedules meetings. Andi acts as a bridge between team members, ensuring information flows effectively and that project milestones are met. She coordinates material ordering and makes sure that deliveries are scheduled in a timely and appropriate manner for all parties.

Mark

Mark Scarlatelli heads the day-to-day operations of Avatar Property Services. With nearly thirty years in the construction and development of commercial, public works, residential, and multifamily real estate in California and Nevada, he has focused on the redevelopment of residential and multifamily properties in Southern California for the past twenty years.

His experience ranges from total teardowns and new construction to minimal cosmetic improvements.

Sarina

Sarina Scarlatelli is a seasoned professional in the construction industry, specializing in project management, project design, and developing scopes of work. With over 15 years of experience with Avatar, Sarina has honed her skills and expertise to deliver successful and innovative projects. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail and her ability to see projects through from conception to completion.

Outside of work, Sarina enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and their beloved dog, Danger.

LINDA

Linda Mitton is an experienced office administrator at ADUs By Avatar, bringing over 15 years of expertise in office management and administrative support. Known for her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, Linda ensures the smooth operation of daily activities and contributes to the company's efficiency and productivity.

Her proficiency in handling communications and managing office resources makes her an invaluable asset to the team. Linda’s dedication to providing excellent support has helped foster a positive and efficient work environment at ADUs By Avatar.

Our Design-Build Process

01 | PLAN
ADUs by Avatar begins with a phone call to discuss your project and budget, leading to a preliminary estimate. We then offer a rough estimate, outlining our process and ADU costs. A site visit for a Feasibility Study follows, assessing your property and refining the estimate to match your goals.
02 | DESIGN
In the design phase at ADUs by Avatar, we tailor a floor plan to your goals, providing a Construction Estimate for budget finalization. Post-approval, we prepare detailed architectural drawings for permits and assist in selecting finishes, ensuring your project remains on budget.
03 | BUILD
Our in-house team handles permits, ensuring safety and compliance. We then develop a detailed construction schedule in our online portal. Construction begins! All updates will be communicated through the portal. After completion, we'll do a thorough walk-through to ensure your ADU is perfect. Congrats on your new ADU!
